Arthur Pierce was encouraged to paint by his father, a gifted amateur artist.
His family were from North Wales from the town of Menai Bridge, Anglesey. He has always painted seascapes, dramatic skies and the coast associated with that area.
His winter home, in a village in the mountains of Andalucia, provides him with endless inspiration by experiencing the dramatic changes from hour to hour of cloud formations.
All of his paintings are in oil, on canvas and are all framed by Arthur himself. Arthur was once a cabinet maker and he now spends much of his time painting in his studio, at his home in Herefordshire
